Now, in case you didn't know, this is part of a series and you might have missed Part 1 or Part 3. This is the best part though, so don't worry about it either way.

Before It Happens Again! (Part 1)

So, the Winter Concert is going to happen next weekend. Maia and Dad are coming which is really exciting! Now, I would say 100% of my followers have seen me dance before, but for the billions of viewers who don't follow this blog, and haven't seen me dance, here is a little re-cap. Now, I don't feel bad posting a bunch of pics of just myself in the same way I would on facebook.  These pictures are from last Spring Concert, and I'm going to point out some themes:

My Life as Appolina

A big thing is happening in my life.  I discontinued my WOW subscription.  To those of you who don't know what WOW is, it's World of Warcraft.  I haven't been playing for long- but it's been fun. It all started at the beginning of last summer. David and I each created trial accounts. My name was Appolina. Being the master that he is, he quickly needed the full membership and I recreated my character on his account so that I could keep playing. David created the character "Appolinus" or something curiously similar to my name.... Anyway. Here she is:

I'll probably re-open my account in the future, and I have until November to enjoy that mystical land of epic quests and fights.

So, I've been getting this email about an e-greeting card for ages. Turns out that it's from my sister, sent almost two weeks ago before David and I drove up to Seattle.  It's animated with sound and everything. While the kitten's head is bobbing up and down, some really dorky hoedown music is playing.  My sister sends the best e-cards
Also, I've been watching a lot of flash mob videos recently and I find them quite emotional.


edit: I just revisited that flash mob video and I can't say it got me emotional. I must have been sleep deprived in april.

Mentor

I wish I had a mentor. I was just reading Reed Stories- where alumni can post their memories.  I've decided that I need to bond with a teacher and see them regularly. I want someone on campus to be supportive of me when I'm doing well and that I'd actually care about disappointing.  I would like some other sense of gratification other than my own relief in finishing an assignment and the "good work" written at the top of a page. I think that these things might make a difference for me at Reed.
